1839 Awards honors Jay Tang in its 2024 Photographer of the Year contest with the title Photographer of the Year (Abstract) with the series entry ‘Everyday Landscapes’. It also received Honorable Mention in the category Minimalism.
The 2024 Photographer of the Year Contest received diverse entries from 60 countries. The esteemed group of judges who participated in this year’s panel included those from The New York Times, Maddox Gallery, Phillips Auction House, Getty Images, SF Camerawork, Foto Forum Santa Fe, the Centre Pompidou, and others.
